Hi, I’m Robin! I’m passionate about all things heart, health, and home. Here, you'll find tips, resources, and encouragement to help you flourish in every area of life. Grab a coffee and stay awhile!
Last year, the video for an amazing song, Monday Morning Faith by SEU Worship, popped up randomly in my Instagram feed. Initially sucked in by amazing vocals I lingered and listened. A capturing voice led to convicting lyrics and I couldn’t turn it off.
“I wanna meet with you more than Sundays. I want to know more than just my mother’s faith…” grabbed me. I instantly thought of the lifelong faith of my mother and the impacting love for Jesus she has. I thought of my children and how I long for them to walk with and experience Jesus for themselves, outside the life of faith their father and I have tried to foster. The chorus went on…”My soul sings in the morning. I love the King and he loves me and all that I’m compelled to bring is my everyday offering”
Beautiful I thought. Simple adoration for my savior. But what REALLY got me, what REALLY lovingly challenged me were the powerful words of the bridge…
“And Hell’s not scared of a Sunday faith if it only leads to empty praise. What really makes darkness run is when the saints arise and praise in quiet on Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday. To know you, to love you, to choose you first on Thursday and Friday and Saturday. To see you, behold you in worship, singing Hallelujah, Holy, Holy Glory to the King of Kings! And hallelujah, Holy, Holy All honor and glory belongs to you!”
I just cried. Then listened 100 more times.
How easy does it feel to separate the daily-ness of our ordinary lives from the spectacular God we serve and celebrate on Sundays? We seek God for the big, but forget that he longs for our tiny, our seen and unseen portions of life. What impact might we have for Christ and what legacy might we leave if each day were an offering to this King who loves us? So many verses speak to this daily walk.
Deuteronomy 5:33 says “You shall walk in all the ways that the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live, and that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you shall possess.”
Proverbs 3:3 encourages us: “Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart”.
1st Corinthians 10:31 instructs us “So whether you are eating or drinking, or whatever you are doing, do it all to the glory of God.”
John 15:4-5 says “Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.”
We are not meant life apart from the love, care, instruction and closeness of Christ. Building an impactful life is a day in and day out choice to engage with Jesus. It’s faithfulness to a full life in Christ. How do we practically do this? Here are some simple ideas…
Simply stated, he wants all of our days, all of our hearts and all of our lives. Begin to make your faith personal and real and build your Monday Morning Faith!!
MUCH love and flourishing! See the song/music video below….listen and repeat!
